Gun store robbery in Winchester prompts police to pursue suspects into Ohio

Winchester, Indiana – Following a Saturday morning robbery in Winchester, four minors are in custody.
Around 3:45 on Saturday morning, the Winchester Police Department sent officers to Apex Shooter Supply on East Washington Street in response to a call about an alarm going off.
Officers arrived and found that a vehicle had damaged the business’s front door, and many guns had been removed.
According to WPD, officers found four minors who were identified as the suspects. Then a chase started, which took multiple responding agencies across the border into Ohio. The four young people were apprehended at the end of the chase.
The pursuit was supported by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, the Union City Police Department, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, the Greenville Police Department, the Ohio State Patrol, the Indiana State Police, and the Federal ATF.
Investigations into the incident and burglary are ongoing.
