Hendricks County’s US 136 will soon have a new speed restriction
Indianapolis, Indiana – Drive carefully! There will soon be a modification in the speed limit on a significant Hendricks County route.
On Monday, Nov. 20, or later, the speed limit on U.S. 136 between Pittsboro and Brownsburg will decrease from 55 mph to 45 mph, as the Indiana Department of Transportation declared on Wednesday.
The change is meant to “enhance safety in the area,” according to INDOT.
Although there will be new signage along U.S. 136 to reflect the higher speed limit, there shouldn’t be any delays or traffic limitations as a result of the renovation.
When workers are on the side of the road or utilizing ditches as a substitute for speed restriction signs, INDOT advises motorists in the vicinity to exercise caution in order to protect worker safety.
