IMPD grand jury in Marion County indicted two officers

Indianapolis, Indiana – Two officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have been charged by a Marion County Grand Jury for their alleged involvement in a man’s shooting on New Year’s Eve.
Two counts of aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily injury, criminal carelessness, and battery resulting in moderate bodily injury have been brought against Carl Chandler and Alexander Gregory.
This all started with a man who was shot on New Year’s Eve outside the house of his grandmother.
“We are thankful to the Maclin family for their patience and grace during this immensely difficult time,” Prosecutor Mears stated.
