In a two-car collision near Indy’s east side, one person was critically hurt

Indianapolis, Indiana – The early Wednesday morning collision on Indianapolis’ east side is being looked into by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Just before five in the morning, police were called to a collision at a Valero gas station on Michigan Street and Sherman Drive. According to IMPD, a car hit a gas station and caught fire.
A second motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, and at least one passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
A blood test was conducted on that motorist at a nearby hospital.
According to IMPD, Sherman was closed as crews cleared the site.
