In just two weeks, the Indiana dashboard has added 32 COVID deaths and 2,274 new cases of the virus
Indianapolis, Indiana – New COVID-19 data has been made available on the state’s coronavirus dashboard by the Indiana Department of Health.
The information was gathered up until Tuesday, March 12. Every Wednesday, the state dashboard is updated.
Indiana’s COVID-19 death toll increased from 26,335 on February 27 to 26,367 on Tuesday. That is a 32-fold rise.
Indiana has tallied 389 deaths since Jan. 2, when the state reported 25,978 deaths.
By contrast, as of March 8, Indiana had recorded 135 flu-related deaths for the 2023–2024 season.
Probable COVID-19 fatalities rose from 1,522 on February 27 to 1,538 on Tuesday. That is a sixteen-fold rise.
In Indiana, the overall number of COVID-19 positive cases increased from 2,200,358 on February 27 to 2,202,632 on Tuesday. That is a 2,274 rise.
On Tuesday, the state reported 296 ER visits and 24 hospital admissions over seven days. 307 ER visits and 50 hospital admissions were reported on February 27.
As of Tuesday, 3,866,893 Hoosiers had finished the first round of vaccinations, according to IDOH. That amounts to roughly 54.8% of the entire populace.
According to the state website, 993,890 Hoosiers were up to date on their vaccines as of Tuesday.
