In memory of his best friend, he’s continuing the Lemonade Shake-Ups fair tradition

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indiana State Fair has officially closed its doors till the next year after 18 days of fun and excitement!
The Lemonade Shake-Ups are consistently named by fairgoers as one of their favorite traditional fair foods.
Eagle’s Food Services on Main Street is one of the establishments that sells the well-known beverage. Last year, the original owner passed away from pancreatic cancer, but his best buddy is now assisting in maintaining the stand for many more years.
“They’ve been in the family business for 50+ years,” said Greg Clay with Eagle’s Food Service. “I had a deal with him before he passed away and I promised him I would keep it clean and neat like he always did, and serve the best quality lemonade there was at the state fair, so here I am.”
Clay had to put up a second window this year to accommodate even more clients because the stand grew so popular. He claimed that this year was even more fruitful than the previous one.
“A very successful year, yes, a successful year,” Clay said.
The countdown to the state fair the following year has already begun among fairgoers! Summer 2024 will mark the fair’s comeback.
