Indiana Chamber of Commerce program recognizes Indiana Members Credit Union
Bloomington, Indiana – According to a press statement issued by the Indiana Members Credit Union on March 28, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce initiative in collaboration with Workforce Research Group designated the credit union one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in Indiana.
At the 19th Annual Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards Dinner, which will take place at the Indiana Convention Center on May 8, the Indiana Members Credit Union will learn its precise rating.
Employees of the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis founded the IMCU in 1956 under the name Indiana University Medical Center Federal Credit Union. According to its website, with 31 full-service branches—including one in Bloomington and one close to Ellettsville—it is the largest credit union in central Indiana.
IMCU President and CEO John Newett expressed the credit union’s gratitude for the accolade.
“It has always been an important part of our culture here at IMCU to create a positive and friendly work environment, and it is one of our key strategic initiatives to remain an employer of choice,” Newett said. “We will continue to strive for excellence for our team, ultimately to provide our members with the best possible service.”
The Workforce Research Group collaborates with state chambers, localities, and a variety of industries to produce its lists of the “Best Places to Work.” This year’s effort by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce is the 19th iteration. A two-part survey was completed by participating businesses’ employers and employees. The rankings within size-based categories are then established by analyzing the data in light of workplace policies, philosophies, systems, demographics, employee experience, and feedback.
Businesses with 15 to 74 U.S. employees are recognized in the small category; those with 75 to 249 employees in the medium category; those with 250 to 999 employees in the large category; and those with more than 1,000 employees in the major category. As part of the Best Places to Work in Indiana Initiative, netlogx, TrueScripts, Centric Consulting, and Edward Jones all received top rankings in 2023 in their respective areas.
