Indiana POWER Scholarship

Indianapolis, Indiana – Before the deadline of November 20, nontraditional female students in Indiana are invited to apply for scholarships provided by the Political Organization for Women’s Education and Representation, or POWER.
A bipartisan coalition of female lawmakers, the POWER Caucus aims to enhance the standard of living for women and all Indiana residents.
Scholarship awardees may include women making their academic comeback after a break,
These include stay-at-home mothers entering the workforce who require further education or training, as well as people changing careers or looking to improve in their occupations or work lives. Women who have recently graduated from high school or who qualify for or have already received substantial financial aid are not eligible for this prize.
A nonpartisan selection committee gives out $750 scholarships. The scholarship will be paid directly to the school, and the recipient will be instructed to deposit the money into their current account in order to cover tuition, books, and fees. Non-traditional female students whose education may have been interrupted or postponed are among the qualified applicants. The committee will also take into account the applicants’ post-school goals, community involvement, personal vision, and financial necessity.
