Indiana Reports 1,243 New COVID-19 Cases, 36 More Deaths
The Indiana Department of Health on Saturday reported 1,243 new COVID-19 cases and 36 more confirmed deaths.
The latest data brought Indiana’s total case number to 666,516 and the total confirmed death toll to 12,299.
In Monroe County, the total COVID-19 case number rose by 25 to 10,419, and the county death toll stayed the same at 164, the department said.
Some 81,400 Monroe County residents have been tested, it said.
As of Saturday, 663 Hoosiers were hospitalized with the virus.
Saturday’s numbers showed that 5.4% of the state’s 2,180 existing ICU beds were being used by patients with COVID-19-related illnesses, while 33.1% were still available.
And as of noon Saturday, 2.2% of the state’s 2,783 total ventilators were being used by COVID-19 patients, while 80.3% were still available.
