Indiana sells a $40,000 Mega Millions winning ticket

Indianapolis, Indiana – Worth $40,000 is a Mega Millions ticket that was purchased in Indiana for the drawing on Tuesday.
The winning numbers were 5-20-26-49-51 with a Mega Ball of 24, and the ticket matched four numbers and the Mega Ball for the drawing on August 20. The usual $10,000 reward was quadrupled thanks to the 4X Megaplier.
The winning ticket was purchased at GetGo #7547, which is situated in Indianapolis at 3301 E. 96th St.
Although there was no jackpot winner for Tuesday’s drawing, a ticket sold in Delaware matched five numbers and added the Megaplier for a $4 million reward, and another ticket sold in Arizona matched five numbers for a $1 million prize.
The anticipated prize for the upcoming Mega Millions drawing, which takes place on Friday, August 23, is $527 million ($261.9 million if cash optioned).
The jackpot has topped $500 million three times this year, and Friday’s payout ranks 13th highest in the history of the game. The previous winner was in June.
