Indianapolis Public Schools welcomes thousands of students Monday morning as the school year starts
Indianapolis, Indiana – Thousands of students returned to in-person studying Monday morning in the Central Indiana’s biggest school district.
Indianapolis Public Schools welcomes all the students that showed up in the schools in the official start of the year.
High school students were switched from yellow busses to IndyGo which turned out to be a big money saver. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and bus drivers shortages, only 200 students will use the public transportation out of 600.
The pilot program between IndyGo and IPS has shown some great results over the years. Following the results and the years in experience, IndyGo representatives said in a statement that they are somehow ready for to drive the students.
Additionally, IndyGo held an online exercise to teach the students how to properly use the public transportation system. The video was posted on Youtube and is available for both parents and students any time convenient to them.
