IU men’s basketball’s Parker Stewart enters transfer portal

For the second time in as many days, IU men’s basketball had a player enter his name into the transfer portal.
Parker Stewart, a mid-season graduate transfer from University of Tennessee-Martin, entered the portal Wednesday. Stewart didn’t play for the Hoosiers this season after transferring.
Stewart averaged 19.2 points per game as a redshirt sophomore at UT Martin, shooting 41.2% from the field and emerging as one of the best mid-major scoring guards in the country.
After his father unexpectedly died last year, Stewart announced his intention to transfer to IU on Dec. 15.
Stadium’s Jeff Goodman reported that Stewart will consider staying at IU once the program hires a new coach.
Stewart is now the third IU guard to enter the transfer portal, following senior Al Durham and sophomore Armaan Franklin, two of the team’s top-three scorers this past season.
