Man fatally shot in front of an east side residence
Indianapolis, Indiana – On Indianapolis’ east side early on Saturday morning, a man was shot and died in front of a home. Police are now looking into the incident.
Just after midnight, officers were dispatched to the 7900 block of East 35th Street on a report of a shooting, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers discovered an adult male who appeared to have been shot in front of a house when they arrived. He was declared dead at the site.
Police report that there was a sizable crowd present at the house when the incident occurred. Before police could arrive, they all left the site.
To assist them in cracking this case, police are pleading with those people to come forward.
“This is why its so important the public gets involved; we know there was individuals present at the scene. We know there is individuals that have information related to this shooting and who might know who this suspect is,” IMPD Major Mike Leepper said.
