Man from Thorntown serving a century-plus sentence for triple murder

Indianapolis, Indiana – Tuesday saw the 195-year jail term of a Thorntown man who was convicted of three Boone County triple homicides in 2021.
Following a seven-day jury trial, 42-year-old Chad Grimball was found guilty in August of killing Larry Stogsdill Jr., 40, Brannon Martin, 20, and Grace Bishop, 19. Grimball was found guilty of carrying a weapon without a license in addition to the murders.
Grimball received a 195-year jail term from Boone Circuit Court Judge Bruce Petit.
“Today’s sentence means that the Defendant will never walk free again. He will spend the rest of his life in prison for the heinous and cowardly acts he committed that day. The verdict and sentence are a testament to our investigative and trial team’s commitment to achieving justice for the families of Grace, Brannon, Larry, and our community – We Thank You.”
