Man given a 50-year sentence for a murder from 2021
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, an Indianapolis man was given a 50-year jail term for the July 2021 murder of 24-year-old Kane Baca.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to an apartment building on Coquina Key Drive on the city’s west side early on July 31, 2021.
When investigators arrived, they discovered Baca in the complex’s parking area with numerous gunshot wounds. Before he passed away, Baca was able to tell the police that Mirabel had shot him.
Mirabal was afterward detained and accused of murder. In the wake of a three-day trial, he was found guilty of murder in May.
