Man Shot And Killed At Bloomington Gas Station
Bloomington, Indiana – A 39-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning at the Circle K gas station in the 2100 block of North Walnut Street.
Bloomington Police officers arrived at 2 a.m. to find the victim in the passenger seat of a vehicle. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. Officers started life-saving efforts and the male was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injury, said Bloomington Police Capt. Ryan Pedigo.
The man’s identity has not been released.
According to the release, the suspect had already left the scene before officers arrived and has yet to be located.
The police believe the fatal shooting was not a random act of violence and that both parties knew one another.
The investigation is ongoing.
