Near Eagle Creek, a man was discovered shot to death
Indianapolis, Indiana – A man was killed in a gunshot on Monday night on the northwest side of the city, according to Indianapolis police.
According to a press release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, police discovered a guy suffering from a gunshot wound in the 6700 block of Stanhope Way, close to West 46th Street and Interstate 465, just after 9 p.m.
According to the IMPD, doctors pronounced the individual dead at the site.
The cause of the shooting has not been disclosed by police. No one has been taken into custody, and IMPD has not named any potential suspects.
After notifying the man’s family, the Marion County Coroner’s Office will disclose the man’s identity and manner of death.
Over 100 of the over 150 homicides that occurred in Indianapolis in 2023 are still unsolved, according to a monthly homicide report that the IMPD released on Friday.
