One person has died and two others have been injured in a collision on the northwest side of Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana – Authorities are looking into a fatal incident that occurred on Indianapolis’ northwest side Friday night, resulting in one death and injuries to two others in a collision.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of North Michigan Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. in response to a report of a personal injury crash.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a sedan had been involved in a collision with a pickup truck. The sedan driver was declared dead at the scene. Both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck were taken to a local hospital, where they are reported to be in serious condition.
According to investigators, one vehicle was attempting to make a turn when it collided with another vehicle that was traveling straight.
No additional details were provided.
The driver of the pickup truck will undergo a blood draw, as per departmental protocol in cases of fatal or serious bodily injury accidents.
