OneAmerica Tower marks its 40th birthday
Indianapolis, Indiana – The headquarters for OneAmerica’s national life insurance, retirement services, and employee benefits businesses are located in the Indiana limestone-built structure.
Over the years, a range of domestic and foreign businesses have stayed on their floors.
Up until the erection of the Salesforce Tower in 1990, it was Indy’s tallest structure and was originally known as the AUL Tower.
The structure is credited for helping Indianapolis’ downtown revitalize in the 1980s and changing the city’s skyline. The company claimed that the water used to transform an undeveloped ditch into the downtown canal is produced by its geothermal system.
