Indianapolis, Indiana – In the most recent round of loan cancellations, more than 3,000 citizens of Indiana will have their student loan debt forgiven.

The figures were verified by the White House on Friday morning.

Under the Biden administration’s Saving on a Valuable Education plan, 3,300 Indiana residents’ $26 million in student loan debt will be forgiven.

Under the SAVE plan, which covers borrowers who have repaid loans for at least ten years and borrowed less than $12,000, President Joe Biden announced the decision on Wednesday.

The U.S. Department of Education should send you an email if your student loan is among those that will be canceled.

It is advised that borrowers who believe they could benefit from the program go to the SAVE plan website.
