Indianapolis, Indiana – At the age of 65, one of the most productive homebuilders in central Indiana passed away.

Paul Estridge Jr. passed away at Methodist Hospital on Sunday, according to representatives for his family. He is claimed to have passed away with his family at his side.

Since 1967, the Indianapolis Business Journal reported that companies owned by Estridge have constructed about 9,000 homes in central Indiana. In 2011, he was pressured into shutting down the company, but in 2013, he staged a successful comeback.

According to the IBJ story from November 2020, Estridge had received a lung transplant but had recently come down with a lung infection that his family believes he would not be able to recover from.

According to the spokesperson of the family, the fact that Paul was an accomplished and well-respected businessman will be part of his legacy; however, the commitment that he had to his family was his true passion. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Judy. He was a beloved father to his three children, Mary Ellen McIntyre (Coleman), Elyse Harvey (Scott), and Joshua Estridge. He was also a treasured Pappy to Cashel Timothy McIntyre, Amos Paul McIntyre, and Ruth Rose Harvey. He passed away in 2002. His wife, Judy, survives him.
