Police: 4 Dead After Shooting At Indianapolis Apartment
Four people have been found fatally shot inside an apartment in Indianapolis, authorities said.
Officers responded about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of shots being fired and found three men and one woman with apparent gunshot wounds, said Indianapolis police Assistant Chief Chris Bailey. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Names and details about the circumstances of the deaths weren’t immediately released. Information about a possible suspect or suspects also wasn’t released.
The Indianapolis Star reported that Bailey, when asked what his message would be to those involved, said: “I’d want to know why. What gives you the right to take another person’s life in such a manner?”
Investigators were at the apartment complex early Thursday collecting evidence and conducting interviews.
“Obviously, this is a tragedy for our community, one that we’ve seen played over and over again, and too many times, impacting too many families and too many communities,” Bailey said. “We’re devastated.”
