Police are looking for a person of interest in the shooting near the east side

Indianapolis, Indiana – In order to find a person of interest who might have information about a gunshot that occurred on Thursday on the near east side of the city, Indianapolis police are asking for the public’s assistance.
Authorities from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 1000 block of East Washington Street on Thursday. When the officers arrived, they discovered a man who appeared to have been shot.
According to authorities, the man was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Maurice Cole, 47, was named as a person of interest by detectives because he might have information on the events leading up to the shooting.
