Police ask for neighbors’ surveillance video after a missing man’s body was found in a pond in Fishers
Fishers, Indiana – According to authorities, the guy whose body was discovered in a Fishers retention pond on Thursday had been reported missing days earlier.
The Fishers Police Department and Fishers Fire Department responded to calls about a person who was not breathing in a pond on Harborvale Chase, close to 141st Street and Promise Road, early on Thursday.
The man’s body was pulled from the water by workers. James T. Hughes, age 35, who had been reported missing on April 30, 2023, has been identified as the man.
According to police, Hughes’ family has been informed. Police are not now suspecting any wrongdoing. The reason and manner of death are being looked into by the coroner’s office.
Investigators are still looking into Hughes’ death’s circumstances. Anyone with access to outside camera footage in the Sedona Woods neighborhood is being urged to look for Hughes in the vicinity of Litchfield Place, Catalina Drive, Harborvale Chase, Dobbins Drive, Silverbell Lane, and Wynngate Lane.
Hughes was last seen on April 24, 2023, at 10:37 p.m. The period of interest is from that time until 2 a.m. on April 25, 2023.
