Sheriff’s deputies from Monroe County discover a car and a body in a pond

Monroe County, Indiana – A corpse and a vehicle were discovered by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday in a pond that was located close to North Stonelake Drive.

In accordance with a news release, deputies were sent to the 2500 block of North Stonelake Drive after receiving a report of a car that was partially submerged in a pond that was located in the vicinity. In order to provide assistance to the police, the Monroe County Dive Team and the local fire departments were also dispatched to the area.

The members of the diving team discovered an automobile in the pond, as reported by the MCSO. One person was the only one who was inside the vehicle.

When the diving crew finally located the individual, they discovered that they had already passed away. The name of the deceased body has not been made public by the sheriff’s office as of yet.

After that, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office dispatched investigators and crash reconstructionists to the scene in order to assist with the investigation. An autopsy will be performed on the deceased person on Monday, according to the sheriff’s office, which confirmed that the event is still being investigated.
