Stretch of SR 244 reopens in Shelby County
Shelbyville, Indiana – On Monday, an overturned semi caught fire and closed a portion of State Road 244 in Shelby County.
According to the Shelby County Emergency Communications Center, the road is closed in both directions between I-74 and County Road 700 East. That’s about 2.5 miles southwest of Shelbyville.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the road had reopened by 4:40 p.m. Monday.
A semi overturned and caught fire, officials said.
As a result of the incident, one person has been hospitalized.
