Tell City woman has been arrested for murder
Tell City, Indiana – Indiana State Police report that a lady was taken into custody for a homicide that occurred in Tell City on Saturday night.
Officers from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Tell City Police Department responded to a 911 call on Saturday night at an unspecified time. The caller reported that her boyfriend had been shot. When the police got there, they found Aaron Waninger, a man, unresponsive. Officers made an unsuccessful attempt to administer life-saving medical assistance.
The inquiry was entrusted to the Indiana State Police for their assistance. Tonya Coomer, 51, of Tell City, was spoken to by troopers upon their arrival. Troops concluded after more inquiry that Coomer had shot Waninger. After being detained, Coomer was taken to the Perry County Jail and is currently being held without bond.
