Ten-year-old Indiana girl receives prize for life-saving
Henry County, Indiana – After rescuing two people close to her home, a ten-year-old girl is being hero-worshipped.
On January 8, 10-year-old Aneres Bellefont received a Life Saving Award from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office after she informed them that she had found an unconscious adult male in a car close to the home she was at. She also found an adult female who was unconscious next to the automobile.
“Aneres remained calm and gave precise locations of both subjects and continued to update our dispatchers with pertinent information until Law Enforcement and EMS arrived,” said HCSO. “I want to personally say Thank You and Congratulations to Aneres Bellefonte for her Bravery in taking decisive action and remaining calm while under immense life and death pressure.”
Deputies Lockwood and Lackey gave both of them Narcan once they arrived. The two patients were moved to a nearby hospital.
“Aneres, you are a True Hero! Two adults are alive today because you courageously took control of the emergency you found yourself in. You did all of the right things! The Henry County Sheriff’s Office salutes you!”
