The defense team for Richard Allen seeks delay for Monday’s hearing
Indianapolis, Indiana – Live Nation officials declared on Thursday that the program “On The Road Again,” which provides funding for tours in various clubs throughout the nation, will persist until 2024.
The initiative started in September 2023 and provides support to up-and-coming artists when they travel across the US and Canada.
It is anticipated that the Old National Centre in downtown Indianapolis, which houses the Egyptian Room and the Deluxe, will remain involved in the program until 2024.
Along with the nightly performance compensation, each headliner and support act performing at those two Indianapolis venues will receive $1,500 in gas and travel reimbursement for each event. Also, all proceeds from the sale of items go directly to the artists.
“Our goal was to make touring a little easier and we’ve accomplished that night after night for over 4,000 artists, with more on the way,” said Willie Nelson, a country music legend who helped begin this program.
Over 4,000 musicians received tens of millions of dollars from the “On The Road Again” initiative in 2023. Additionally, the scheme raised the minimum compensation for club employees to $20 and gave out special bones.
“We’re proud to keep On The Road Again rolling strong,” Michael Rapino, the president and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, said in the release. “Supporting club artists strengthens the future of music.”
When the initiative launched last year, officials stated that musicians may participate in as many qualifying shows as they wanted, and that the advantages would accumulate as long as they performed at approved locations. According to Live Nation, the program has no defined termination date.
