The IndyPL Board of Trustees vice president resigns

Indianapolis, Indiana – Due to a recent move outside of Marion County, the vice president of the Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees has resigned.
In a letter to the Marion County Board of Commissioners, Curtis Bigsbee, who has served on the board for the previous three years, expresses his regret at leaving the position.
“It has been an honor and pleasure serving the patrons of Marion County, and most importantly all the spectacular staff of IndyPL,” a portion of the letter reads.
As of March 10, Bigsbee has relocated outside of Marion County. Anyone seeking appointment to a municipal board must be a resident of Marion County.
The selection of Bigsbee’s successor will be handled by the Marion County Board of Commissioners. This does not yet have a verified timeline.
Due to Bigsbee’s absence, the Board of Trustees of the Indianapolis Public Library now has a vacancy.
