The spouse of Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett requests a divorce

Indianapolis, Indiana – Stephanie Hogsett, the wife of Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett, has requested a divorce.
According to online court documents, Stephanie Hogsett submitted the divorce petition in a Johnson County court on September 8.
According to internet documents, a hearing in the divorce case is scheduled for October 19.
Joe Hogsett confirmed the divorce petition in a statement on Saturday.
“After many years of partnership, Steph and I have begun the process of divorce. Like so many families in Indianapolis, the last few years have been trying in ways that neither of us could have imagined, and the demands of life in public service have been felt not only by Steph and me, but by every member of our family. Our focus will remain on supporting our three children, and for their sake we would simply request privacy and respect during these extraordinarily difficult times.” Joe Hogsett, mayor of Indianapolis
Hogsett is running for mayor of Indianapolis a third time. In the November election, he will run against Jefferson Shreve, a Republican.
