Tuesday evening shooting in northeast Indianapolis results with one dead, suspect arrested
Indianapolis, Indiana – Tuesday evening shooting that took place in the northeast side in Indianapolis resulted with one person dead police say.
According to police report, the shooting happened to the 4900 block of East 56th Street around 11:30 p.m. and first responders were immediately dispatched at the scene after the 911 call when someone reported the shooting.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering gunshot wounds in a vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the EMS crews.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department informed that they have arrested the 49-year-old Vincent Bibbs on Wednesday as a main suspect believed to be responsible for the shooting.
Authorities didn’t provide any details about the motive of the shooting. The identity of the victim is still unknown at this time.
