While pursuing coyotes in Rush County, two guys shot

Rush County, Indiana – Authorities suspect a hunting accident in Rush County resulted in the shooting and injuries of two men who were out hunting coyotes.
According to the Rush County Sheriff’s Department, the two hunters were out coyote hunting on Saturday at about 10:52 p.m. when they came under fire from an unidentified party.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that both males were hit by gunfire but was unsure of the shooting’s origin.
Both of the coyote hunters were hurt when deputies arrived on the scene. While the second hunter was taken by ambulance, the first was transferred to a hospital by helicopter.
Both males are currently reported as having stable conditions, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office currently thinks the incident was a hunting accident.
There were no other people in the area, according to the sheriff’s office.
