Woman found dead in apartment fire
Bloomington, Indiana – An investigation is underway after firefighters found a woman’s dead body inside an apartment after it caught fire yesterday in Bloomington.
According to Police Captain Pedigo, firefighters and police responded to the fire just after 9:30 p.m. in the apartments off South Basswood Drive near Interstate 69 and a woman was located in one of the apartments.
The cause of the death and woman’s identity have not been released yet. An autopsy of the body was scheduled for Friday.
There were no other injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is undetermined.
