Wrestler from Whiteland High School pulls off extraordinary achievement
Indianapolis, Indiana – Joey Buttler, a talented wrestler at Whiteland High School, achieved something that had not been done since 2007.
Buttler won the state title at 132 pounds while going a perfect 45-0 in his senior year.
On Saturday, the senior wrestler won the state championship of the Indiana State High School Athletic Association.
After two pins, a decision, and a 6-3 victory in the title match, Buttler advanced to the final.
Buttler has a 4.1 GPA at Whiteland High School and intends to continue his studies and wrestling at Indiana University the following year.
