45,00 customers of Duke Energy still without electricity
Plainfield, Indiana – In central Indiana, some 45,000 customers still don’t have electricity, according to a Duke Energy Group press release. With that, when storms passed through Indiana, more than 250,000 consumers had their power restored.
“We greatly appreciate our customers’ ongoing patience during this multi-day power restoration process,” said Stan Pinegar, president of Duke Energy Indiana.
The firm is aiming to restore electricity by Sunday night, but they issue a warning that their progress may be hampered by other attempts that may pass through the state.
“Our crews are entering the final phase of restoration, which includes challenging and lengthy appreciate the partnership of Indiana University and Indiana State University to help us
stand up mustering locations and offer housing for crews working to get the lights back on,” stated Pinegar.
