$75 million “luxury urban” townhomes and condos with rooftop terraces are set to begin construction
Fishers, Indiana – On Monday afternoon, builders and elected officials from Fishers will begin construction on what is being billed as a “luxury urban residential development.”
The $75 million CityWalk on Nickel Plate Trail proposal called for a tiered, seven-story structure housing 88 apartments ranging in size from one to three bedrooms, 39 townhomes with rooftop terraces, and 95 condominiums with 20 individual rooftop terraces.
In a Facebook post, Republican Fishers mayor Scott Fadness expressed his expectation that CityWalk will become a landmark, establishing the bar for architecture and design along the Nickel Plate Trail, which is a corridor used by bicyclists and pedestrians.
proposal completion is scheduled for the summer of 2027, according to the Wanas Group, a development company based in Fishers and headed by Sam Wanas. The proposal was approved by Fishers City Council last summer.
$16 million in 25-year bonds were approved by the council for the project. It is anticipated that the new project’s property taxes will be used to pay back the bonds.
On Monday at 1:30 p.m., the groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 8850 Circle Drive. That is located north of the Nickel Plate Trail, off Lantern Road.
