Man killed in drive-by shooting Indy’s north side
Indianapolis, Indiana – A man was slain in a shooting early on Sunday morning on Indianapolis’ north side, and police are looking into the incident.
Officers were summoned to the vicinity of Ditch Road and Emily Drive just before 1:30 a.m. on a complaint of a drive-by shooting, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers responded to a second call regarding a person who had been shot while they were on the scene.
Officers found a man who appeared to have been shot in the head when they arrived. They were in critical condition when they were taken to a nearby hospital. Police said he was subsequently pronounced dead.
Following the gunshot, there was a reported wreck nearby, according to the police.
Police were examining a car that seemed to have been shot at while they were doing their investigation.
