Indiana sent 80 Task Force 1 people to help Florida in the rescue efforts of Champlain Towers Collapse
Indianapolis, Indiana – Indiana sent eighty people from the Task Force 1 to Surfside, Florida on Wednesday to help local authorities in the search and rescue efforts following the Champlain Towers Collapse last week.
According to the latest information, the crew will deploy in Florida with full equipment from Indiana.
Florida local media outlets reported that at least 147 people were in the building before it collapsed. As of now, 16 people were reported dead.
President Joe Biden was set to visit the scene on Thursday.
Multi-agency crews are working at the scene 24 hours a day. In the rescue efforts they work 12-hour shifts.
