IMPD calls Carmel SWAT team for person barricaded in vehicle with knife
Indianapolis, Indiana — On Tuesday night, Stop 11 Road and Arlington Avenue were the scene of a knife-wielding person locked inside a car.
For “additional resources,” the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department claims to have been in touch with the Carmel Police Department’s special weapon and tactics squad.
At 11:16 p.m., IMPD reported that a person had been taken into custody in an email. At 11 p.m. on Tuesday, the police and the individual were still engaged in a standoff on the southeast part of the city.
The initial call details for the press media were no longer visible on the IMPD’s online police dispatch system.
The IMPD officers on the scene refused to provide the News 8 photographer any more details.
