Madison County, Indiana – A collision that occurred early on Friday morning on Interstate 69 involving a semi-truck and a dump truck resulted in the injuries of two drivers.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said the impact caused both vehicles to flip over, and the drivers involved in the accident sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Deputies within the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were sent east of Anderson to the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 near Rangeline Road in response to the crash at around 11 a.m.
The investigation showed that an Indianapolis man was driving the dump truck south when he lost control of it, crossed the median, and drove over a barrier cable.
After that, the dump truck entered the northbound lanes and collided with the semi operated by a Texas man.
The crash caused delays in traffic on the southbound lanes of Interstate 69, according to the authorities.
