Firefighters battle house fire on Todd Lane
Heltonville, Indiana – On Christmas Eve, a house fire at the Todd Lane home of Rob and Jesse Corbin required the assistance of many volunteer fire departments.
At 4:52 a.m., the fire was reported. The house and cars were reportedly on fire, according to a 911 call.
Firefighters from Marshall Township, Shawswick, and Pleasant Run arrived on the scene quickly.
In addition to fighting the fire, firefighters also had to contend with the fire nozzles freezing due to the extreme weather.
Firefighters from Indian Creek, Perry, Oolitic, Marion, and Owen Townships in Jackson County arrived to help at around 5:15 a.m.
More than 15,000 litres of water were utilized by the firefighters to put out the fires.
Investigations continue to determine the fire’s origin.
