Indianapolis’s collegiate arts school has announced its closure
Indianapolis, Indiana – HIM by HER Foundation revealed on Tuesday that its charter school would close on January 20.
According to the organization, it does not have enough students to continue operating its collegiate school for the arts. More than 200 people attend the school. On the east side of the city, on East 32nd Street, just west of Emerson Avenue, it is housed in the former Forest Manor Middle School. In 2009, the middle school was shut down.
The earliest possible start to consider alternative possibilities was encouraged for parents.
On January 6 and 14, the school will host an enrollment expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Former homicide detective for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, Harry Dunn is one of the co-founders. George Hill, a former Pacers player, first offered support to the institution.
