Fire investigators dispatched to Noblesville Elementary School after reports of smoke
Noblesville, Indiana – Firefighters from Noblesville said they are looking into an elementary school fire.
Around 3:40 p.m., a social media message was posted. The White River Elementary School, located at 19000 Cumberland Road, was reported to have smoke coming from it on Tuesday, according to the Noblesville Fire Department. That is a short distance south of 191st Street on State Road 37. Even though the fire was eventually declared “marked out,” investigators continued to work at the school.
Students and employees in an after-school program were taken out of the building due to a “minor fire in the art studio,” according to Marnie Cooke, a spokeswoman for Noblesville Schools.
Classes will be held at the school on Wednesday as scheduled.
There have been no reported injuries.
