IMPD searching for suspect following shooting on northwest side
Indianapolis, Indiana – According to Indianapolis police, two victims of a shooting that occurred early on Friday in the city’s northwest were taken to the hospital.
Just after five in the morning, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were summoned to the 6100 block of Wixshire Drive. That’s a neighborhood east of I-465, close to 38th Street and High School Road.
When the police came, they discovered the victims, who were subsequently transported to a hospital in good condition.
“Detectives learned an adult female and teenage male were in a vehicle and sustained injuries consisting of gunshot wounds,” IMPD Public Information Officer Lt. Shane Foley said in a statement.
According to Foley, investigators have discovered a potential suspect who is acquainted with the victims.
The culprit was wanted by the police, but they would not give their name.
