IMS reveals new bronze badge design for 2023 Indy 500
Indianapolis, Indiana — Ed Carpenter, a three-time pole-sitter for the Indianapolis 500, unveiled the 2023 Bronze Badge on Thursday at Stout Field, the Indiana National Guard’s command center.
The historical Pagoda is included in this year’s Bronze Badge design, which is part of the flyover that the United States Air Force Thunderbirds execute every year.
The badge celebrates the Pagoda’s 110th birthday as well as those who have served our nation in the armed forces.
“The Bronze Badge, which has represented pit and garage access at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for decades, is one of the most treasured keepsakes for our fans,”
IMS President J. Douglas Boles said.
In order to enter Gasoline Alley on specific dates in May, fans can acquire a Bronze Badge. Each Bronze badge holder is needed to sign a lease and must be at least 18 years old.
