Sullivan County coroner releases names of three people who died in Friday storms
Sullivan County, Indiana – The names of three people who perished in the tornado and storms that swept across the region late on Friday night have been released by the Sullivan County Coroner.
Coroner Joe Coffman verified that Susan Horton, 56, her 38-year-old son Thomas Horton, and 47-year-old Shane Goodman all passed away on the evening of March 31.
In order to help families and individuals who require assistance following the tornado outbreak, several neighborhood organizations are collaborating to collect donations.
The Sullivan Civic Center, which is located at 344 N. Main St., is where donations can be made.
The organizations are asking for non-perishable food items, Gatorade, and other sports drinks. Paper goods, baby wipes, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and feminine products are further noteworthy things.
Officials from Sullivan County stated that at this time, clothing contributions are not required.
Visit Abundant Grace Church in Sullivan, which is situated at 761 IN 154, if you need shelter. Bottled water, self-care items, food, cleaning supplies, and other resources will be made available to the public.
The Sullivan County Emergency Operations Center may be reached at 812-268-6257, EXT 1, and is where potential volunteers are asked to register their interest.
