Indiana announces the season’s youngest flu death
Indianapolis, Indiana – Four kid flu deaths have been confirmed in Indiana this season, according to health officials.
The Indiana Department of Health said on Friday that a kid between the ages of 6 and 23 months had passed away.
Since the start of the flu season in October, this person is the youngest Indiana resident to pass away from the illness.
During the 2022–23 flu season, Indiana saw 261 flu-related deaths, up from 83 during the 2021–22 flu season, according to state health officials.
As of April 15, Indiana had minimal flu activity, according to the CDC data released on Friday.
