A scholarship in the amount of $5,000 awarded to a student from Greenfield
Greenfield, Indiana – Although it has a poor reputation, eating at fast food restaurants actually helps college students pay for their education.
On Thursday, during a surprise ceremony, the Burger King Foundation presented Sharray Jones, of Greenfield, with a $5,000 Midwest Region Award. Jones was the recipient of this award.
Jones, who works at the Burger King location in Greenfield, was awarded this scholarship by the establishment.
Scholarships are given out by the Burger King Foundation to high school students and BK employees in the United States and Canada who demonstrate exceptional need.
Students are chosen based on their grade point average, the amount of community service they have performed, how financially needy they are, and how much leadership or employment experience they have.
