Traffic on I-465 is slowed by trucker protests
Indianapolis, Indiana – On I-465 outside Indianapolis, dozens of semi trucks are in a “slow roll” in protest.
At midday, the trucks were approaching I-465 between EB I-70 and Pendleton Pike in a slow-moving convoy. All the way back to Pendleton Pike, a line of trucks could be seen.
The Indiana Diverse Truckers Association’s Sid Mahant verified to News 8 that the “Slow Roll” is a global demonstration against low freight rates and a lack of transparency in brokered freight deals.
As of 2:00 PM on Wednesday, I-465 was free of traffic.
